Refund Policy

Clear guidelines for cancellations and refunds on Publishing Services projects.

Effective date: June 4, 2026

At Publishing Services, we are committed to providing professional publishing services and maintaining transparency throughout every project. Because many of our services are customized, creative, and project-specific, this Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which cancellations and refunds may be considered.

By purchasing or using any service offered by Publishing Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy.

Our Commitment

Every publishing project is unique. Our team invests time, expertise, creative effort, and project resources into each client’s work. For this reason, refund requests are evaluated fairly while taking into consideration the work completed, project status, and contractual obligations.

We encourage clients to communicate any concerns promptly so they can be addressed before they become larger issues.

Project Cancellation

Clients may request cancellation of a project by submitting a written request through our official communication channels.

Cancellation requests are reviewed based on:

  • The current stage of the project.
  • Work already completed.
  • Resources allocated.
  • Deliverables already provided.
  • Third-party costs incurred on behalf of the client.

Submitting a cancellation request does not automatically guarantee a refund.

Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility is determined after reviewing the specific circumstances of each project.

Factors considered include:

  • Whether work has commenced.
  • The percentage of work completed.
  • Deliverables already provided.
  • Client approvals previously granted.
  • Project milestones completed.
  • Expenses already incurred.

If a refund is approved, the amount may be adjusted to reflect work already performed and any applicable administrative or processing costs.

Work Already Completed

Publishing services often involve substantial planning, consultation, editing, design, formatting, project management, and creative development.

Once work has been completed or deliverables have been provided, that portion of the project is considered earned and is generally not eligible for refund.

Clients are encouraged to carefully review all project materials and communicate any concerns during the revision process.

Client Approvals

Throughout a project, clients may be asked to approve drafts, concepts, layouts, proofs, or other deliverables.

Once final approval has been provided and work proceeds to the next stage, previously approved portions of the project are generally considered complete.

Refund requests based solely on changes of preference after approval may not be eligible.

Revisions

Many projects include revision opportunities designed to help refine deliverables and ensure client satisfaction.

Clients are encouraged to make full use of available revisions before requesting cancellation or refunds.

Revision opportunities are intended to resolve reasonable concerns within the agreed scope of work and do not create an entitlement to additional services beyond the original agreement.

Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will generally not be granted under circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • Change of mind after work has commenced.
  • Failure to communicate during the project.
  • Failure to provide required project materials.
  • Delays caused by the client.
  • Dissatisfaction unrelated to service quality.
  • Refusal to utilize available revisions.
  • Completion of agreed project milestones.
  • Services already delivered.
  • Outcomes dependent upon third-party platforms.
  • Marketing performance, book sales, reviews, rankings, or commercial results.

Third-Party Services

Certain publishing projects may involve third-party providers such as printing companies, publishing platforms, payment processors, or distribution partners.

Any fees paid to third parties on behalf of the client may be subject to the policies of those providers and may not be recoverable by Publishing Services.

Refunds relating to third-party costs will be considered only where such funds are recoverable.

No Guarantee of Results

Publishing Services provides professional publishing support designed to assist authors throughout the publishing process.

However, we do not guarantee:

  • Book sales.
  • Bestseller status.
  • Publishing platform approval.
  • Reader reviews.
  • Marketing performance.
  • Media coverage.
  • Commercial success.
  • Search engine rankings.
  • Advertising results.

Publishing outcomes depend upon numerous factors beyond our reasonable control.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Clients experiencing concerns regarding billing or services are encouraged to contact us directly before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.

Initiating a chargeback after services have been delivered or work has commenced may result in suspension of ongoing services while the matter is investigated.

Relevant documentation, communication records, approvals, and project history may be provided to payment processors where necessary to resolve disputes.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will generally be issued using the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.

Processing times vary depending upon:

  • Financial institutions.
  • Payment providers.
  • Banking procedures.
  • Geographic location.

Publishing Services is not responsible for delays caused by banks or third-party payment processors after a refund has been approved.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Publishing Services’ liability relating to any refund request or service dispute shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from the use of our services.

Policy Changes

Publishing Services reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time to reflect changes in our services, operational practices, or legal requirements.

Updated versions become effective immediately upon publication unless otherwise stated.

Continued use of our services following publication of any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Refund Policy.
